Stand Agency has been hired to deliver a new campaign addressing the subject of constipation on behalf of Coloplast.
The company, which specialises in products for those with intimate healthcare needs, has tasked Stand Agency with organising a campaign that can encourage openness and more discussion around a rarely-discussed health issue, reports Gorkana.
“Stand Agency has been handed a new contract by Coloplast, which is preparing to launch a new campaign to raise awareness of the issues caused by constipation.“
There are an estimated two million adults affected by constipation in the UK, with the condition costing the NHS 145 million pounds through unplanned admissions.
Coloplast hopes to dispel some of the myths about constipation with its campaign and highlight some of the simple diet and lifestyle changes that can be introduced to help prevent it.
Laura Oliphant, managing director at Stand Agency, said: "People are embarrassed to talk about constipation and we hope that by raising the profile of how widespread it is and the health problems it causes, we can help break this silence and save the NHS money."
The agency's previous clients include the likes of Kidney Research UK, Shawbrook Bank and Contact the Elderly.See all the latest jobs in Healthcare Communications
