FleishmanHillard's head of healthcare in the UK Dan Kent is to leave the business after a decade with the agency.
Mr Kent will be departing his position by the end of October for personal reasons and intends to become a freelance consultant, a role that may see him continue to work with the agency in some capacity.
“FleishmanHillard's UK head of healthcare Dan Kent will be leaving the agency to work as a freelance consultant.“
He confirmed the decision to PRWeek, saying: "I'm leaving on very good terms, but it was not an easy decision. I have been there for ten years and I was feeling a little institutionalised, so it's time for a new challenge."
In addition to his PR credentials, Mr Kent is a practicing psychotherapist, specialising in drug and alcohol addiction, and he intends to develop his private practice following his departure from FleishmanHillard.
His replacement has not yet been announced, but it is understood that FlesihmanHillard is recruiting externally to replace him.
The agency has also confirmed that its global vice-chair of operations in the US, Kurt Wehrsten, has left the business with immediate effect.See all the latest jobs in Healthcare Communications
