ResMed acquires home medical equipment resupply firm CareTouch

Medical Company Product News

ResMed has announced the acquisition of CareTouch, a leading provider of web-based solutions and therapy-focused resupply programmes for home medical equipment providers.

The company's products are designed to help healthcare providers offer patients personal attention, equipment and supplies to maintain therapy without interruption, with key products including the CareTouch 360 portal.

“ResMed has acquired CareTouch, a provider of resupply solutions for the home medical equipment industry.“

This easy-to-use solution facilitates the management and monitoring of patient populations, with live, multilingual call centre contact options and customised reports on therapy adherence, orders, payments and collections.

As part of the acquisition, CareTouch will be rebranded ResMed ReSupply, with its employees and chief executive officer Matthew Dolph becoming part of the ResMed team.

Raj Sodhi, president of ResMed's healthcare informatics global business unit, said: "With this acquisition, ResMed is further helping home medical equipment providers streamline communications with their patients about ongoing therapy needs."

This comes after the company expanded its capabilities in this field further with the acquisition of Jaysec earlier in the year.
