Scope teams up with Road Communications for new brief

Scope Ophthalmics has teamed up with Road Communications to work on a new healthcare brief.

PR Week reports that Road has been appointed by Scope to provide it with public relations and communications support while it delivers its branded range of prescription and over-the-counter drugs.

“Scope has appointed Road Communications to manage its UK and Ireland PR needs for its branded range of pharmaceutical products.“

Commercial director at Scope Tom Freyne explained that Road will be helping it to establish a presence in the UK and Ireland, having been chosen due to its 'impressive' knowledge of the pharmaceutical market and strategy.

What's more, Scope was pleased with the 'holistic way' in which Road interpreted its brief.

Managing director of Road Communications Paul Jarman added: "Ophthalmic medicine is a significant niche and we are excited to be working with Scope to educate prescribers and consumers in key treatment areas."

Figures show that the ophthalmic market is worth around £120 million in the UK, across hospitals, GP surgeries, retail outlets and specialty care units.
