Carestream Dental’s CS 3000 certified for use with Vita Enamic

Carestream Dental has announced that its CS 3000 milling machine has earned certification from manufacturer Vita to work with the company's Vita Enamic hybrid dental ceramic.

The certification comes as part of a longstanding relationship between Carestream Dental and Vita, as the CS 3000 has been approved to work with the Vitablocs Mark II restorative, a fine-structure feldspar ceramic material, since October 2013.

Vita Enamic is the world's first hybrid dental ceramic with a dual-network structure for superior absorption of masticatory forces, making the product very strong and highly elastic. It combines the benefits of dental ceramics with those of composite materials.

As such, users of the CS 3000 system will now have another potential option available to them when customising crowns for their patients.
