Molnlycke has highlighted the recent success of its relationship with Operation Smile, a charity that provides free surgeries to repair cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities worldwide.
The company marked the tenth anniversary of its collaboration with the charity in 2014, providing 50 percent of the funding to support a mission to Brazil in September that saw 84 patients receiving life-changing surgery.
“Molnlycke has highlighted its recent accomplishments through its partnership with Operation Smile, a collaboration that passed its tenth anniversary last year.“
Every year, Molnlycke donates almost 250,000 pairs of Biogel surgical gloves and 10,000 wound care products to Operation Smile, while more than 30 employees have volunteered to take part in missions to countries such as Bolivia and India.
Maarten van Beek, executive vice-president of human resources and corporate communications at Molnlycke Health Care, said: "Every year our people come back from medical missions with amazing stories of transformed young faces and overjoyed parents. We look forward to supporting this life-changing work well into the future."
Last month, the company announced that it will be divesting its dental brand Dry Tips to Microbrush International, a developer of innovative consumables used in dental restorative procedures.See all the latest jobs in Medical Devices
