Ansell launches Gammex gloves with new Sensoprene formulation
Medical Company Product NewsAnsell has announced the launch of a new line of Gammex Non-Latex Accelerator-Free Sensitive surgical gloves that includes a groundbreaking Sensoprene formulation.
The company's new Sensoprene technology is up to 30 percent thinner than standard surgical gloves, offering an unprecedented level of sensitivity and comfort, as well as advanced allergy protection.
It is free of both latex proteins and chemical accelerators to reduce the risk of both type I and type IV allergic reactions, while also addressing key user requirements in terms of fit, grip, strength and resistance.
The new gloves have now been introduced in Europe and will be rolled out in Australia, New Zealand and North America later this year.
Anthony Lopez, president and general manager of Ansell's medical global business unit, said: "We were the first company to introduce an accelerator-free surgical glove and, with Sensoprene, we are again setting a new standard for allergy management in the healthcare industry."
This week, the company appointed Alumina chief executive officer John Bevan as a non-executive director on its corporate board.
