CryoLife appoints new vice-presidents

Medical Company Restructures

CryoLife has announced the promotion of two members of its management team to new vice-presidential roles.

The medical technology firm has appointed Dr David Gale as vice-president of research and development, while David Lang will take up the newly-created role of vice-president of market development for surgical adhesives and starch medical relations.

Dr Gale has been with the company since 2009 and previously held the position of senior director of research and development, while Mr Lang, a 35-year medical device industry veteran, is the former vice-president of PerClot market development.

Steven Anderson, the company's president and chief executive officer, said their experience will be of significant benefit to the company as it seeks to pursue its various expansion goals.

"We are extremely pleased to make these significant additions to our leadership team," he added.

In October 2011, the company announced an expansion of its stock repurchase programme, in order to allow company cash to be used more flexibly for strategic ends.
