Procter and Gamble has announced that Olympic open-water swimmer Keri-anne Payne has been selected as the latest ambassador for its Oral-B dental brand.

Ms Payne, a British athlete who will be competing at the London 2012 games, will be the official face of the Oral-B Triumph 5000 with Smart Guide power brush and Pro-Expert toothpaste, two of the most recent additions to the range.

The Team GB member endorsed the benefits of the brush and toothpaste, highlighting the role they can play in helping users to adopt correct brushing habits and maintain an optimal level of oral health.

She said: "I'm really happy to be working with Oral-B. Having a healthy smile adds to my wellbeing and confidence and helps me prepare me for my biggest challenge yet."

Ms Payne has also signed on to represent False Lash Effect Gold, an award-winning mascara product from Procter and Gamble's Max Factor brand, as part of the company's efforts to bolster its commercial presence at the Games.
