Rayner has been granted CE Mark approval for its latest intraocular lens (IOL) offering, the Sulcoflex Multifocal Toric IOL.
The newest addition to the Sulcoflex range can be implanted in the ciliary sulcus as an addition to a primary lens in the capsular bag, allowing for the correction of a range of vision problems.
They are specially designed to minimise the trauma and surgical risk associated with IOL exchanges and can be removed from the sulcus with relative ease, should it prove necessary to change the lens or reverse the procedure.
Following this latest approval, Rayner's Sulcoflex lens product family has been completed, with aspheric, toric, multifocal and multifocal toric options all ratified for sale.
Rayner now expects to launch the new product across the EU territories during the first quarter of 2012.
The company was responsible for the production of the first ever IOL in 1949 and now offers a range including brands such as Rayacryl C-flex, Superflex, M-flex and T-flex.See all the latest jobs in Medical Devices
