Mast introduces Uri System for urine microbiology in UK

Mast has hailed the successful UK introduction of the new Uri System, its latest innovation in the field of urine microbiology.

The new system was showcased to attendees of the recent Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) Congress in Birmingham, with both the Mast Uri Plus and Mast Uri Well offerings on display.

It has been designed to offer a simple, efficient and effective approach to the urine screening process, allowing more than 95 percent of samples to be processed within a day.

According to Mast, the Uri System provides savings in terms of labour and wastage of consumables in an area that comprises a major part of the workload of many life science laboratories.

The company added that the new device was met with a positive response from the IBMS event, with presentations having been given on the full range of benefits it can provide.

Other products demonstrated by Mast at the show included its increasingly popular range of ESBL detection discs, with sales and technical staff members in attendance.
