GDC to outline key projects at Dental Showcase

Dental / Dental Practitioner News

The General Dental Council (GDC) has confirmed that it will be highlighting a number of its key plans at the forthcoming Dental Showcase.

Taking place between October 20th and 22nd at the NEC in Birmingham, the event will be attended by more than 12,000 members of the GDC dental team over the three-day period.

During the conference, the regulatory body will be educating attendees about projects such as the review of its Standards for Dental Professionals, detailing the next steps planned for this process.

It will also provide more information on continuing professional development requirements mandated by the GDC and its plans for the future.

Additionally, the GDC stated that free publications aimed at patients are to be distributed on matters ranging from tooth whitening to the Dental Complaints Service.

Earlier this month, the organisation announced that it is seeking a contractor to assist in a new evaluation of risk in the practice of dentistry in the UK.
