Part 1: BioMérieux, Biocartis, and Leica Biosystems Given FDA Finance Approval
Science£510,000 has been signed off by the US FDA to be spent on tests and assays by industry leaders BioMérieux, Biocartis, and Leica Biosystems amoung others.
The organisation approved BioMérieux subsidiary BioFire Diagnostics' Spotfire Respiratory Panel. The product takes patient samples in a multiplexed PCR test to diagnose individuals with respiratory tract infections.

Regarding its Idylla MSI Test, designed to check for Lynch syndrome in individuals with colorectal cancer, Belgian business Biocartis has also received approval. This assay involved segments of DNA being amplified assessment of their characteristics when heated.
The Bond MMR Antibody Panel, developed by the German company Leica Biosystems, a subsidiary of Danaher, also received positive feedback for its ability to detect Lynch syndrome.
