Mace Begins Head Office Build in London

Medical research company MSD’s next head office and discovery centre will begin to be built in springtime of this year.

This move will generate more than 1,000 employment opportunities linked for construction of the building, called Belgrove House. It is positioned in London near King's Cross Square.

“The project is scheduled to be finished within the next 2/3 years.“

Belgrove House is being envisioned by the London based architecture practice Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, which is planned to cover 180,000 square feet and ten floors available to rent out for exclusive use.

It was created using environmentally friendly resources and has a cutting-edge curtain wall to help maintain a steady temperature and use energy efficiently.

Terry Spraggett, one of the Managing Directors at Mace expressed that he is “extremely proud to have been appointed as main contractor on what will be a flagship development for the UK’s life sciences industry.”

“The strong sustainability and community outreach opportunities of this project align perfectly with Mace’s purpose and priorities.”

Head of Planning and Development at Precis, Faaiza Lalji, explained that “delivering a specialised life-sciences centre for breakthrough research with new opportunities for collaboration and a vision to inspire people in Camden by giving them access through employment and training opportunities.”

“Mace’s role as contractor will be pivotal in delivering this innovative project for the city.”

The project is scheduled to be finished within the next 2/3 years.
