BDMS Profits Expected to have Hit 12.4bn Baht in 2022
ConsumerBangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS), which started off with just one hospital in 1969, is now the most extensive hospital chain in the Asia-Pacific region.
The business is set for greater growth in the next few years as Thailand revived its large tourist industry in 2022 (post Covid) and China seriously considers whether to reopen to visitors this year.

The SET-listed BDMS declared a total business value of 461 billion baht under ex- physician and millionaire Dr. Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth.
Management will facilitate rapid business development through mergers and acquisitions so that BDMS can achieve the title of ‘Asia's top hospital network’ and boost Thailand's international attractiveness within the medical and healthcare industries.

According to Krungsri Securities, BDMS will boost yearly sales by 6-8% between 2023 and 2025. This will be driven by the influx of international and Thai patients seeking treatment for complex conditions unrelated to Covid.
Enlarged earnings from insurance clients and businesses and higher sales within specialty illness facilities are other reasons influencing expansion.
the Global Wellness Institute (GWI) projects the global wellness industry to increase by almost 10% each year, reaching $7 trillion by 2025.
The 2023 growth strategy involved adding an additional 10 store locations to their portfolio.
GWI expects BDMS to report 2.9 billion baht in profit in the fourth quarter of 2022. This is 13% less than the previous quarter due to fewer Covid and seasonal infectious illness patients, but 12% more than last year due to larger quantities of international patients.
Krungsri anticipates 2022 profits to reach 12.4 billion baht.
