Skip Bourdo has been named the new CEO of Neighbourly Pharmacy. His predecessor, Chris Gardner, made the choice to leave his position there, although he will still help fuel the business’ success as a strategic advisor.

Bourdo is a skilled and admired pharmacy and healthcare executive, boasting an impressive three decades of experience within the sector. His career began with climbing the ranks at Walgreens over the course of 27 years, beginning as a cashier and ending as Group Vice President of Pharmacy and Retail Field Operations for their Western territories.

“Skip Bourdo has been named the new CEO of Neighbourly Pharmacy“

As of late, Bourdo served as Chief Operating Officer for Athletico, a market-leading and ever-expanding company offering orthopaedic rehabilitation services. In his time there, which spanned 26 months, he increased their retail footprint twofold, to over 950 stores.

Chairman of their Board of Directors, Stuart M. Elman, described Bourdo as “a seasoned pharmacy and healthcare leader with a wealth of operational and M&A experience. Skip's impressive track record of driving growth, profitability and operational excellence will be critical as Neighbourly continues on its growth trajectory."

Bourdo expressed he feels "honoured to take on the CEO role and lead Neighbourly through its next phase of growth. I look forward to continuing Neighbourly's focus on growing its network of independent pharmacies, while driving the health and profitability of the business and continuing to support the health needs of the communities."

Chris Gardner articulated that he is "extremely proud of Neighbourly's success over the past 5 years, and I look forward to supporting Skip and the Board of Directors through this next stage of our growth."
