Award-winning global health agency 90TEN expands in the US

Healthcare Communications

September 1, 2022, FAIRFIELD, CT, US – Global healthcare communications consultancy 90TEN, part of

Envision Pharma Group, today announced it has hired industry veteran Joy Brownstein as part of its

“Industry veteran Joy Brownstein joins firm with 30+ years of experience in biopharma to help lead growing business “

expanding growth plans in the US market.

Previously a consultant at 90TEN, Brownstein will report to Kate Paxton, US Head, 90TEN, and will

continue to be a key leader of current client business. Brownstein will also work with Paxton on the

continued growth of 90TEN’s US operation, leveraging the existing rich resources within Envision

Pharma Group for US client needs and showcasing 90TEN and its unique culture and approach.

“We are thrilled to have such an experienced and passionate professional like Joy join the growing

90TEN team,” said Paxton. “Joy’s long history of building strategic and creative programs for healthcare

clients of every size and scope – in addition to her deep understanding of how agencies grow and thrive

– makes her ideally suited to help lead the 90TEN US team through this next, exciting phase.”

Brownstein has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare marketing and communications, working

at agencies like BCW, Syneos Health, and Ketchum on product communications, advocacy relations,

corporate communications, and issues management. Her clients have included biotech companies,

pharmaceutical organizations, medical device companies, healthcare providers, third party disease

awareness and patient advocacy groups.

Brownstein’s work has won numerous awards; these include a Gold SABRE Award for the Best Public

Education Campaign of the Year for the “T2 Dance Crew” which was a diabetes campaign for Janssen

Pharmaceuticals in partnership with the Diabetes Hands Foundation and the television program, So You

Think You Can Dance.

“90TEN’s focus on changing people’s healthcare behaviors – not just communicating about them – really

impressed me,” said Brownstein. “The agency’s proprietary approach to clients’ healthcare

communications challenges is more sophisticated and effective than other agencies. I wanted to be part

of a team that really changes people’s lives.”

90TEN has worked with behavioral psychologists to develop its own Feel-Think-Do™ evidence-based

suite of tools to analyze human emotions, thought processes, and environmental factors that affect

each healthcare communications challenge. These tools can be applied to every brief to deliver

insightful, tailored, and targeted communications that are designed to inspire meaningful and positive

change. This approach, along with a culture that celebrates innovation, allows 90TEN to be creative and

scientific in execution and strategy.

Headquartered in London, UK, 90TEN employs around 70 members of staff and works with half of the

top 20 pharma companies in the world serving clients across Europe and North America. In 2020 it

became part of Envision Pharma Group – a global provider of evidence-based communication services

and industry-leading technology solutions.
