Ceva Animal Health, manufacturer of the leading veterinary behaviour products ADAPTIL® and FELIWAY®, has signed up to sponsor the BVRA (British Veterinary Receptionist Association).
The new partnership will see Ceva supporting the BVRA conference, which was a sell out in its inaugural year, and providing BVRA members with educational initiatives including regular webinars on pheromonatherapy. The first webinar is presented by Dr Andrew Fullerton BVSc (Hons) MRCVS, behaviour technical manager at Ceva Animal Health. It focuses on cats’ scratching and covers ‘What is scratching?’, ‘Is there a problem?’, ‘Scratching posts’ and ‘FELISCRATCH by FELIWAY® and its use alongside FELIWAY® Classic’. The webinars are available free of charge on the BVRA website.

Andrew Fullerton, behaviour technical manager at Ceva Animal Health, comments: “The role of a veterinary receptionist is pivotal to any practice. It requires an understanding and knowledge of products, experience on how to run a practice day-to-day, as well as the skills to communicate and manage clients at a time when they are stressed about their beloved pet. We are delighted to support the BVRA with educational initiatives to help receptionists improve communication with their clients.”
Kay Watson of the BVRA, adds: “The BVRA’s mission is to recognise and raise the status of veterinary receptionists within the UK veterinary profession, by acting as a professional body to focus on the interests of veterinary receptionists, as well as evolving the receptionist role through affordable CPD and training.
“We are delighted to partner with Ceva Animal Health and are grateful for its support of the BVRA annual congress, with the next congress taking place on 16th March 2019. The Ceva webinars are available for members and non-members to view on the BVRA website and it is hoped receptionists will find them informative and beneficial when talking to clients.”
