A distributor of healthcare supplies in Europe and Medo-Globe-Group, Medline International, has agreed to acquire all Asid Bonz shares, a supplier to German hospitals that offer anaesthesia and surgery, urology products and ward supply, from Medi-Globe Group. Founded in 1811, Asid Bonz is known for developing the first anaesthetic ether. Asid Bonz recorded over thirty million euros in revenues in 2021 and served over one-thousand hospitals in Germany.

Medline will make the Asid Bonz brand available to its sizeable European consumer base outside Germany. To deepen their relationship with clients, the Asid Bonz sales staff in Germany will have access to Medline products.

“Medline International has agreed to acquire all Asid Bonz shares.“

Medline Europe Group president, Tripp Amdur, stated: “We are excited to increase our product offering and work with this award-winning organisation with a renowned customer focus. Medline is a relatively new player in urology and anaesthesia. This acquisition grows our presence in these areas of the hospital. Asid Bonz’s employees, products and service have a long-standing and trusted reputation and this combination will enable us to better meet the needs of our healthcare customers and become a more valued partner.”

CEO of Medi-Globe Group, Martin Lehner, stated: “Asid Bonz is known for its unwavering commitment to its customers, providing high-quality medical products that are used to treat patients every day. We are sure that under the ownership of Medline, Asid Bonz will provide substantial avenues of growth in the future. The sale sharpens Medi-Globe’s focus on our core business, which is the development and marketing of innovative single-use solutions for minimally invasive clinical therapies.”
