“Dr Roisin Molloy Achieves Innovate UK’s Women in Innovation Award.“

In 2016, Innovate UK established Women in Innovation because six in seven requests for support from Innovate were from men, with just one in seven by women; UK financing and assistance has climbed by over 70% since starting the award. Increasing the quantity of entrepreneurial women has potential to boost the economy by £180 billion.

The objective of the female-based award is to foster more diversity and inclusion in business innovation by identify a larger number of women who are driven and have strong innovation potential.

Chief Executive Officer of TriMedika, Dr Roisin Molloy, expressed that “This award offers a means to fast-track the adoption and leverage of new technology into NHS hospitals and could offer a significant return on investment to fuel the growth and scaling of TriMedika Ltd.

“The funding from this award will build upon the 'non-contact' TRITEMP thermometer, that reliably captures patient temperature, alongside patient details and automatically uploads that information to a hospital EMR database. Market research supports growing demand within the health sector for such products, as hospital budgets and healthcare personnel need to deliver efficiencies whilst positively impacting patients through improved patient care.”
