Dentsply Sirona and 3Shape are extending their collaboration to help dentists and dental workers improve their digital dentistry.

Dentsply Sirona is a dental equipment and consumables company based in the United States that sells its products in more than 120 countries. It has manufacturing facilities in 21 different countries.

3Shape, based in Denmark, is a developer and producer of 3D scanners and software solutions in the dentistry and audio sectors.

In June of 2020, their initial alliance was revealed, giving those who usually use 3Shape TRIOS intraoral scanner the opportunity to use the SureSmile Clear Aligners programme by Dentsply Sirona.

The Connect Case Center Portal means that information can be passed from dental practices to laboratories more effectively.

Dentist Dr Sabrina Hoffmann said that the network is accessible for laboratories that use 3Shape's Dental System. “Digital impressions facilitate communication. After scanning I can discuss the digital model directly with my patient. And because I now can communicate with the lab technician seamlessly, I can share the planned outcome with my patient much quicker –and that is a benefit to the patient that matters. What we are experiencing today is truly the dentistry of the future.”
