Tickets are currently on sale for SPVS-VMG, the UK’s main non-clinical veterinary conference, which will be held on the 21st and 22nd of January at ICC Wales. The event provides continuous professional development (CPD) content from various speakers both in and out of the veterinary profession, with the opening speaker being Sabrina Cohen-Hatton. SPVS (Society of Practicing Veterinary Surgeons) and the VMG (Veterinary Management Group) will team up with ICC Wales (International Convention Centre Wales) to make sure that Covid safety measures are up and running.

The lecture programme for the Leadership and Management Congress has been announced by SPVS and VMG.

“The UK’s main non-clinical veterinary conference will be held on the 21st and 22nd of January at ICC Wales.“

A few of the talks at the event include: “sharing legal must knows as a new manager” with Brian Faulkner, “nurses as quality improvement ambassadors” with “Lou The Vet Nurse,” and “how to conquer your caseload peak” with Laura Playforth.

At the event both SPVS and the VMG will be showing a mix of their streams and ones that are tailored to people who are just starting management and contemplating opening their own practice. Interactive workshops will be taking place on Saturday, these are able to be booked prior to the event. There will be an exhibition alongside the main veterinary event which will be taking a closer look into the business aspect; focusing on marketing, management, and client elements of veterinary practice.

Thursday night will kick off with an evening dedicated to networking and Friday evening will involve a festival and party band (RPJ) returning to this year’s presidents’ party.
