The top three companies, on the client-side, who took two Golds each, were klarify, AstraZeneca and Novartis Gene Therapies. In addition, other Gold winners from pharmaceutical companies and healthcare organisations included Edwards Life Sciences, Biotest AG, Huntleigh, Frontline Live, GlaxoSmithKline, Galderma, Norgine, Janssen Pharmaceutica NV, Takeda UK and Santen.
Furthermore, Gold winners on the agency side included Havas Life Medicom, who took the lead with ‘Agency Digital Team’, three Gold award wins, three Silver awards and two Bronze awards. The ARK agency came in second place, with two Golds and one Silver. Moreover, Pharmadoctor came third place with two Gold awards.

Chair of the Digital Awards, Rachel Farrow, stated: “I’m particularly pleased with the breadth of finalist companies represented this year. To see work from forty-four agencies and forty-six client companies is remarkable and I hope it gives inspiration to those smaller, newer companies that haven’t entered before. I’d like to highlight our fifty-eight judges, who put in so many hours of work. One consequence of the pandemic is that the second round ‘face to face’ judging was so much easier online. Agencies can take just thirty minutes out of their day to present to the panels on Zoom, compared to giving up at least a half-day when we held our second-round judging in person. This is something which we plan to keep going forward.”
