On Sunday more than half a million new confirmed COVID cases were recorded in the UK for the 6th consecutive day, thus urging calls for another national lockdown in England.

Mr Pinker stated: "The nurses, doctors and staff today have all been brilliant and I can now really look forward to celebrating my forty-eighth wedding anniversary with my wife Shirley later this year.”
