Walgreen Boots Alliance is hunting for a new marketing and communications partner

Walgreen Boots Alliance has commenced a global request for proposal process to find a marketing and communications agency partner, with up to a three-hundred-million-dollar budget, due to their three-year contract with WPP ending.

The company is broadening their digital communications because their consumers’ needs are changing rapidly, due to the COVID-19 crisis; as a result, the business is looking for a marketing and communications partner that has a data and digital-first mindset, to facilitate the digital alteration.

The global CMO, Walgreens Boots, Vineet Mehra, stated: “WPP is an industry leader, so they were invited to repitch and are a very strong contender at this time. We’ve made great momentum with them over the last few years. We are looking for it to be delivered in a way that puts our first party data at the centre of the transformation we want to drive."

The global Chief Communications Officer, Walgreens Boots Alliance, Aaron Radelet, stated: “We want to set up an org design where we are operating from a one team approach, We are all wearing the same jersey out on the field so there isn’t a distinction about who works for the agency and who works internally - we want to have a close working relationship.”
