Park House Healthcare has been honoured for the innovative design of its Duraflex mattress product at a recent industry conference.
The firm has been presented with the Innovative Product Showcase Award during the National Association Equipment Providers Conference in Blackpool last month, recognising the product's success in meeting a key healthcare need.
Duraflex is being used by a number of NHS trusts across the country and is designed to offer improved protection against infections, utilising a highly durable cover which also provides high levels of comfort for patients.
Park House Healthcare offered its thanks to all conference delegates who voted for the product and outlined plans to launch eight new innovations in 2010.
Peter Carroll, sales and marketing director for the company, added: "We recognised the increasing need for more durable equipment to withstand vigorous use and to comply with stringent infection control protocols. This award highlights Park House Healthcare's commitment to research and development."
Other mattress brands developed by Park House Healthcare include Memaflex, which is designed for those at risk of pressure ulcers, as well as the two-part Newlife birthing mattress.See all the latest jobs in Medical Devices
