Almirall launches new anti-cellulite product

Pharmaceutical Company Product News

Almirall has released Thiomucase extreme areas, a new anti-cellulite product which it states is the first to be launched in a stick format.

The pharmaceutical company's new treatment incorporates lypodualenzym, an agent which helps to burn away stored fat through the process of lypolysis while blocking the formation of new cellulite.

It is intended for use on areas such as the thighs, hips, buttocks and abdomen and has been shown in a clinical study to produce visible effects in less than a month.

Yolanda Sanchis, Almirall's product manager, stated that the new treatment is able to achieve these effects through a combination of active ingredients, such as karkade, coleus forskohlii and amni visnaga.

She added: "Thiomucase extreme areas also contains other active ingredients such as horse chestnut and horsetail, with a series of complementary actions for other problems caused by rebellious cellulite."

Earlier this year, the company published its financial report for 2009, reporting a year-on-year increase in net sales despite the challenging economic conditions.
