Arjo contributes equipment for UK special education schools
Medical Company Product NewsArjo has supplied a ceiling lift system to a number of special education schools across the north-west of England.
Maxi Sky600 equipment has been provided for educational facilities such as the Holly Grove School in Burnley, whose pupils have special educational needs, as part of the Building Schools for the Future programme.
The unit is a customisable ceiling-mounted lift system which helps those with complex medical needs to enjoy greater mobility, allowing them to take part in soft play and hydrotherapy activities.
Sue Kitto, head teacher of Holly Grove School, stated that the system has proven a benefit to the facility, where space is typically limited.
She said: "With the Arjo ceiling tracking we don't have to worry about extra storage facilities for mobile hoists, as it's just a discreet pod attached to the ceiling."
Earlier this week, Arjo was given accreditation from the Royal Institute of British Architects to offer expertise to builders on the proper design of healthcare facilities.
