Henry Schein held its annual back to school extravaganza where 125 children and their families gathered for games, a BBQ, and other activities on the group of the Townline Road property in Canada.
The programme began in the company’s New York office in 1998 moving to their headquarters in Canada in 2006. For the past 4 years, Henry Schein’s Canadian headquarters have worked with Community Care of St Catherine’s and Thorold, as well and Nike and Old Navy outlets to ease the burden for families where dread arises when it’s time for their children to go back to school, with a new outfit and school bag.
“Henry Schein Hosts Annual Back to School Extravaganza“
Families enjoyed an atmosphere similar to what you get at a carnival, and then children selected from Community care were given a box containing a backpack filled with school supplies, a new outfit and a pair of trainers. This has been able to happen thanks to Henry Schein’s employees who raised $12,500 throughout the year, meaning each child was able to receive about $100 worth of clothes and supplies.
“We wanted all the children and their families to come in and experience the event rather than just grab the stuff and go.” said Henry Schein’s creative services manager Terry Grout. “The programme allows these children to fit in and not be left out when going back to school as they’re getting a completely new outfit.”
This year, 500 Children in centres across Canada received a package, with events also being held in London.See all the latest jobs in Dental
