What is involved in a Medical Writer role?
Medical Writing involves producing high quality, written content within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. The material will need to be communicative to a wide target audience of different educational levels, and will involve researching analysing, editing and proof reading. You may be involved in writing content for medical education purposes, which will require the ability to be able to meet, project specification, budgets and meeting timelines within a delivery schedule.
What is expected of you as a medical writer?
As a Medical Writer maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, research & development, industry guidelines, SOP's and laws is essential. You will work closely with the PR department in medical and communications companies and you will often have one point of contact in each department.

Essential skills and requirements for this role:
Written materials are produced for a cross section of audiences and therapy areas, making it essential for you to be able to adjust your writing style for the right audience, and correctly interpret the brief set out by the client.
For our clients, Spelling, grammar and an eye for detail are the preferred skill set for their medical writers, along with strong written and spoken English skills.
