Marketing & Communications Assistant

As the Marketing & Communications Assistant you will work as part of a team to build marketing campaigns based around scientific research using the company's products. This will include creation and proofing of content such as social media posts, newsletters, and blogs, as well as maintenance of web content and liaison with internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the Sales and Marketing team and external agencies to develop strategies to improve the recognition of the company, its products and technologies, to result in increased sales.
- Working as part of the team to deliver content for marketing campaigns, including social media posts, blog posts, PR, newsletters, and webinars, as well as post-campaign reporting and analytics.
- Contributing to and maintaining product information, blogs, and contact forms on the company website, ensuring all marketing material follows the companies design guide.
- Working with agents and distributors worldwide to ensure they are kept up to date with marketing material as well as providing the company with information on exhibitions they are attending and key customers.
- Organisation of the company's attendance at conferences and exhibitions - ensuring they are booked, including promotional activities scheduled, hotels and transport booked, and other tasks as needed. Keeping a record of costs of shows and exhibitions so ROI can be analysed.

Person Specification:
- Graduate-level degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Science, or other relevant subject
- 1-2 years' experience in a technical marketing environment
- Fluent written & verbal English
- Experience with digital marketing tools and content creation
- Experience writing, editing, and proofing
- Experience with analytics tools for web, social media, and campaigns
- UK citizen or holding a valid legal right to work in the UK
- Knowledge of relevant software for content creation and day-to-day communication (office suite, photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
- Web content management skills (SquareSpace, WordPress, Hootsuite, HubSpot etc.)
- Demonstrable experience with content creation for print or online use, video creation/tools for webinars, instructional videos, product videos.
