Life Science Sales Specialist

Life Science Sales Specialist- responsible for visiting customers around Oxford, London and Cambridge regions and promoting the life science products range (molecular and cell biology products)

Suitable for MSc educated life scientists with commercial experience who are looking to move into scientific technical sales! This commercial experience this could be a sales, marketing or customer support role within or outside of the scientific industry.

An excellent opportunity to join a specialist scientific company that have a great culture of support and training. They achieved a record year of sales in 2021 and are following a similar pattern in 2021! This technical sales role is varied and consultative, focusing on the company's life science product line.

PRODUCTS: Molecular and Cell Biology Products
TERRITORY: Oxford, London, Cambridge regions
CUSTOMERS: Academic, Research and Biotechnology Laboratories

Primary role:
Visit customers to promote the life science products range and provide technical and product support to customers and the wider sales team when required
Support the wider sales team through joint customer visits and demonstrations
Provide customers with timely responses and quotations
Work with key manufacturer partners and the wider commercial team to create selling strategies and regional marketing promotions
Achieve sales target set by the company
Identify new business opportunities, generate leads and provide market feedback to colleagues and manufacturers.
Awareness of market trends, competitor activity and developments in the life sciences sector

Person Specification:
Ideally educated with an MSc/Masters degree, with knowledge of cell and molecular biology
Experience working in a commercial role - this could be a sales, marketing or customer support role within or outside of the scientific industry, where you can demonstrate customer skills and ability to work to targets and/or deadlines.
Motivated, proactive and with excellent communication skills
Willingness and ability to travel across the designated region (a driving license is essential)
Self-motivated and able to prioritise workload, have an excellent eye for detail
