What is the role of a Key Account Manager?
Key Accounts provide a company the most business as they contribute a large portion of the company’s sales. A Key Account Manager (KAM) will provide the vital link between the company and these vital accounts. They would be responsible for managing, nurturing and exceeding the businesses current clients expectations, and build relationships with the teams within this organisation in order to generate sales as a result.
General KAM within Animal Health roles include but are not exclusive:
Managing, nurturing and exceeding the businesses current client’s expectations,
Build long term relationships with the team
Generate sales across the assigned client accounts and reach the businesses sales target
Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts
Retain a client- account manager relationship through up-selling and cross-selling
Manage and solve conflicts with clients
Meet deadlines for accounts
