Role Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading life science company who is looking for a Junior Field Service Engineer to join their team.

This would suit a recently qualified engineer with a level 3+ qualification, ideally with 1 years experience looking to progress his/hers career in a scientific environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

•  Carry out servicing, calibration and qualification of Ultra Low Temperature Freezers at laboratory sites throughout the UK. Mainly London & SE.
•  Keeping essential van stock in balance
•  Maintain direct communication with customer for the duration of job
•  Be flexible for overnight stays, sometimes at short notice
•  Report to the Field Service Manager

Person Specification

•  HNC / HND qualified with 1 year experience in a hands on engineering role
•  Willingness to travel in and around London regular
•  Valid UK driving license
•  A friendly & helpful personality with good customer skills
•  Knowledge of a laboratory environment and standards would be an advantage
•  Ability to work alone and unsupervised for long periods
•  Able to complete documentation accurately and on time
•  Some experience as a field technician preferred
•  Good electrical and mechanical skills
•  Confident with Microsoft office & Apple applications
•  Good communication skills
