MARKET INSIGHT MANAGER - Equivalent to a Business Analytics role

STATUS: 2-4 month interim contract OR permanent (please contact to discuss further)

REPORTS TO: Head of Insight


" Ensure all marketing insight, brand analysis and competitive insight is collated and analysed to support key strategic and tactical decision making, within the Specialist Brands business unit (transplant, anti-infectives and pain).
" Delivering interpretation and deep insight from a combination of sources; ad hoc primary market research, secondary research, sales and field force data, market data/ information and more.
" Establish tracking mechanisms for core and future product launches including forecasting and modelling capabilities.

" Responsible for providing and recommending forward looking insights in order to ensure superior understanding of the what's and why's within the therapeutic market segments (payer, physician and patient) in which we operate on a UK wide basis with the aim of delivering major competitive advantage for our Specialist Brands.
" Analyse and provide insights using internal (sales and field force data) and external (secondary data) data sources and leading edge research methodologies to support key strategic and tactical decision making.
" Partner with the sales and marketing managers in setting performance metrics, inputting into brand and operational plans and supporting sales, including responsibility for forecasting.
" Develop systems which pull together all information sources so that the data produced assist in strategic decision making and monitoring of tactical implementation.
" Conduct routine and ad hoc market research projects in alignment with Marketing/Brand managers.
" Develop market research strategy focused on the market dynamics, behaviours and understanding WHY people behave the way they do
" Be responsible for sourcing and delivering routine audits and ad hoc market research in a timely and cost effective manner.
" Proactively input into the allocated market research budget.
" Take responsibility for management of all relevant external suppliers and agencies.
" Responsibility for development and administration of sales force targets and incentive programmes
" Driving the Insight Team Vision, and distilling the Vision within the Specialist brands sales & marketing team
" Maintain the profile of the Insight Team via regular presentations and internal marketing to all stakeholders.
" Attend and contribute to internal and external advisory panels and committees and support specific projects as required.
" Effective collaboration and communication with the marketing and sales teams and throughout the rest of the business.
" Dissemination of insights, data and research results across the business.
" Where appropriate work with colleagues at European level to identify synergies to conduct common market analysis and research.
" Ensure all activities are compliance with company standards and the ABPI practice.
