Previous job - Account Manager - LCMS

An excellent opportunity for a scientist with experience in HPLC/LCMS to move into a technical sales role or an experienced analytical consumables/instrumentation sales representative looking to progress their career with a global company!

PRODUCTS: Mass Spectrometry Analytical Systems
CUSTOMERS: Academic, Pharmaceutical, Bio-Pharmaceutical, CRO, Environmental, Food & Beverage, Clinical and Petrochemical industries
TERRITORY: Scotland and North-East England

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Developing new business on the defined territory and identify prospective buyers through sales calls and face to face meetings.
Maintain and strengthen current customer relationships.
To negotiate contracts and close orders with end users and purchasing departments
Enter all sales data and information into the company's CRM system.
Provide accurate weekly sales forecasts to your Line Manager.
Organise seminars, workshops, sponsor technology events, exchange sales leads with other colleagues.
Attendance at industry exhibitions, networking events, conferences and seminars when required.
Provide effective on-customer-site product presentations of all assigned products
Maintain excellent market knowledge, including competitor awareness

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Minimum of a Degree level qualification in a scientific discipline preferably Chemistry, Biochemistry or similar.
Relevant experience in a sales environment, preferably capital analytical equipment sales (LC/MS, HPLC).
A working knowledge of Chromatography (HPLC) and knowledge of Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS) is highly desirable.
Must be able to identify new target accounts each year and be able to develop and execute territory plans.
