Healthcare Partnership Manager
TITLE: Healthcare Partnership Manager
TERRITORY: South West UK and South Wales (90% of the focus is Bristol, Bath, Glouc and South Wales and must be based in this area)
THERAPY AREA: Immunology
OBJECTIVES:
To comply with the company’s policies and procedures to meet statutory, quality and business requirements within the overall strategy and objectives of the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Play a leading active part within the infield team and identify opportunities to work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues to deliver on brand objectives
- Understand decision making processes, including all influencers, regarding the use of pharmaceutical products within local health economy and map out funding streams
- Achieve sales objectives across all representative territories that HPM territory touches
- Work closely with sales representatives to achieve access in key accounts
- Build trusted and strategic relationships with payers to anticipate payers ´agendas, plans and objectives
- Anticipate access barriers, get preferential status and ensure optimal funding of the company's products
- Be the main company contact person for payers
- Document and share insights with organisation
- With contracts department, anticipate and monitor contracting & tendering risk and opportunities in Key Accounts
- Develop strategy and concise engagement plans with clear objectives and activities to optimise funding & access of the company's products
- Identify and shape multi-stakeholder projects that are of interest to payers and that position the company as a trusted and expert company
- Liaise with MAVP to provide payers with customised relevant clinical and pharmaco-economic information
- Coordinate with other company functions that may interact with payers (e.g. Government Affairs)
- Regularly track the execution and impact of activities and performance of key accounts
- Where appropriate, support contracting and tendering processes and facilitate the development and delivery of proposals
- Develop payer intimacy and adopt transparent payer relationships in order to optimise company brands
- Anticipate access barriers, get preferential status and ensure optimal funding of the company's products
- Develop strategy and concise engagement plans with clear objectives and activities to optimise funding & access of the company's products
- Be pro-active not reactive to changing environment and payer needs and share insights across organisation
- Main company contact for the product and coordinating interactions
- Communication of the value proposition of the company's products and ensure that health economics content is adequately communicated to payers
- Identify and shape multi-stakeholder projects that are of interest to payers and that position the company as a trusted and expert company
- Work collaboratively with in field sales team to optimise performance of key accounts
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree level education or equivalent in Life Science subject
COMPETENCIES:
- Proven experience of interacting and building relationships directly with healthcare stakeholders, in particular payers
- Knowledge of the healthcare landscape, including local payer and provider environment and healthcare funding flows
- Knowledge of payer decision-making processes and who are the key payer stakeholders/influencers
- Knowledge of the needs and agendas of payers and influencers
- Knowledge of pharmaco-economic principles
- Proven track record in medical sales
- Previous Regional Manager Experience desirable
- Ability to build strong and long-lasting relationships with payers
- Ability to translate the strategies into actionable and realistic engagement plans to ensure market access of the company's products, in alignment with brand strategies
- Ability to collect and share insights with MAVP to support the development of value propositions addressing payers needs
- Ability to deliver customised value propositions to payers to convince them of product value
- Ability to identify C&T situations with payers to reach mutually-satisfactory arrangements
- Ability to shape multi-stakeholder projects
- Ability to assess the opportunities and risks of funding for the company's brands
- Ability to monitor performance and adapt plans to external and internal changes
- Ability to lead and facilitate infield team working
