Business Development Manager
The purpose of the Mobile Business Development Manager role is to develop and manage the development of sales within their territory (North UK) in line with company objectives. The successful Business Development Manager will support national projects, cover vacant territories and manage the independent’s sales channels.

TERRITORY: North UK
PRODUCTS: Contact Lense range and solutions
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Sales Management of all customers within the defined territory to achieve long-term sales growth and daily management of all territories
• Actively promote Alcon, their products and services, to ensure the success for territory and account penetration
• Ensure outstanding knowledge of Alcon products – clinical and technical information, product strategy, market positioning and brand messages to assist customers in selecting those best suited to their needs
• Responsible for the management of Alcon Pricing, Trade Terms and Promotions
• Share market intelligence (competition) by gathering market place information on pricing, products, services
• Attend and participate in relevant local, regional and national Conference and Exhibitions as required, representing the company in a professional manner
Please note this is a mobile role with a lot of travel involved - candidates need to be happy to travel across North East England, Scotland, Ireland or other areas of the UK when required.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS SOUGHT:
• Experience in a senior territory/mobile sales role
• Commercial awareness/business acumen of the vision care/ pharmaceutical industry or medical devices market - desirable, not essential
• Proven experience in developing and establishing successful key relationships
• Would consider graduates or candidates of graduate calibre with a little sales experience and great learning agility
