ABOUT THE ROLE


From this restructure we have a newly created position within our Patient & Post-Acute Care (PPAC).
Patient & Post-Acute Care designs solutions that care for people affected by reduced mobility. The offer encompasses a complete range of solutions for healthcare ergonomics within the following areas: Patient Handling, Hygiene, Bed and Room Solutions, Therapeutic Surfaces, VTE and Long Term Care.


In the role of National Sales Manager you will provide strong leadership and direction to the National sales team. You will manage 6 teams with c.40+ Account Managers and will be able to demonstrate profitable sales growth with the gravitas to present at board level internally and with clients.

In this position you will have very strong links into the Senior Leadership Team and is deemed as a senior position within the organisation and structure. We would therefore expect both your successful sales career history and interpersonal skills to reflect this.

Tasks
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To develop and implement a regional ArjoHuntleigh strategic and operational plan to deliver and maximise profit expectation for the region.

To further ArjoHuntleigh’s interests by personally building trust, reputation, and a partnership relationship at C-Suite level with local NHS - health economy customers e.g., CCGs, Trusts, private providers, etc.
Deliver financial objectives for designated geographical region by:

Maximising income through the sale of solutions (eg; equipment, service, rentals, equipment management services, consulting services), and managing selling prices and costs locally in line with national guidelines.

Recommending resource decisions locally and understanding the total investment required regionally across all areas e.g. internal/external customer spend

Overseeing the development and implementation of local customer and Account Plans

Capturing customer insight, determining priorities for the local area and making appropriate local business decisions based on insight

Collaborative working across the different internal business areas of sales, rental, contracts and service to create effective solutions for our customers. Ensure a high level of cross functional communication.

Modelling an ‘Inspirational Leadership’ approach through:

Line management of up to 6 management level employees across sales. Effective leadership and coaching of the sales individuals to enable the effective delivery of an account management approach.

Leading the large cross-functional matrix sales team, motivating individuals to deliver business objectives, supporting local empowerment and accountability, role modelling ArjoHuntleigh behaviours, creating a culture for people to do their best work and taking governance responsibility e.g. through excellent knowledge of ArjoHuntleigh strategic cornerstones and policies.

Ensuring all sales employees have clear job descriptions and objectives and that performance and the relevant KPIs are being reviewed monthly.

Contribute to broader ArjoHuntleigh culture and business strategies as a senior member of the management team. Share best practice and potential issues across regional boundaries to support national growth.



Job Package

Salary: competitive base plus bonus up to 20%

Person Profile

Driven and successful sales leader within the Medical Device arena.

A demonstrable knowledge and understanding of NHS & Private Hospital sector dynamics in the UK.

Sound track record of business achievement and understanding of result-oriented methodologies within the field force. Ability to engage with clients at senior levels and assess their operational and strategic needs with strong commercial and business acumen.

Excellent leadership and change management expertise required to inspire, coach, mentor and motivate the cross functional teams to achieve sustainable results, develop and monitoring business plans. Demonstrated ability to analyse and assimilate data.

Previous experience in a sales management role with evidence of sales success is essential.

Sales strategy leadership experience including setting standards, coaching and mentoring

Have worked within complex organisational structures and have been successful in driving change.

Experience of leading teams & P&L's across multiple operating sites.

Evidence of leading a business or function to deliver improvements in customer service and cost performance.

With your first class communication skills you will have both technical and commercial negotiation skills with the expertise to lead a field-based sales force.

Knowledge of the company’s products, systems and services is desirable but it is essential you have experience of CRM systems, KPI setting and measurements.
