TITLE: Market Access Brand Manager

LOCATION: Stokenchurch, Buckinghamshire

REPORTING TO: Market Access Strategy Manager

" The Market Access Brand Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of Market Access Marketing Plans for assigned brands to meet agreed company objectives.
" The Market Access Brand Manager is responsible for initiating, planning, implementing and monitoring market access programmes for assigned brands.
" To develop Grünenthal's UKs interface on marketing to payer customers relationships.
" To work closely and collaboratively with sales, marketing and medical to implement UK Market Access strategy.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
" To manage the market access marketing plan from strategic planning to tactical activities for assigned products
" To exceed Grünenthal profitability plan for relevant brands
" To utilise customer and market insight to support the development of brand market access programmes and materials
" Work collaboratively with office based colleagues and field based teams encompassing NHS-SAMs, MSLs and RAMs/AM/AR's to build brand plans and drive business performance.
" Act as market access champion seeking opportunities to optimise the brand both internally and externally
" To effectively communicate market access strategy and values to all internal and external brand stakeholders
" To maintain professional internal and external relationships (including agency management) in accordance with Grünenthal core values.
" Support of pre-marketing authorisation activities including market research. Aligned with brand strategy/plans
" Working with Market Access Strategy Manager and Head of Health Outcomes to develop core value programmes and budget impact models for assigned brands in line with current NHS environments and brand strategy/plans.
" To oversee all market access product related activities.
" Budget accountability and management

RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB:
" Delivers effective operational market access marketing plans using customer and market insight to maximise the brand's short, medium and long-term objectives.
" Play a key role in the shaping of the strategic direction of the brand through the long range planning process.
" Evaluate competitor activities and provide market analysis, identifying key trends and major drivers and leveraging opportunities that will impact Grünenthal performance
" Monitor and control promotional expenditure, etc. within product area.
" To engage with sales, marketing and medical teams to obtain greater customer insight
" To identify Key Performance indicators to measure and monitor the impact that the market access brand materials have on customers and business opportunities.
" To engage and motivate field based teams to assist in the effective delivery of market access brand messages.
" To apply complex clinical data in market access materials=
" Use customer, market insight and NHS changes to develop key programmes and materials in alignment with the brand objectives within agreed timelines and budgets
" Ensures effective communication and implementation of market access vision and campaigns and adjust market access brand plan as required to meet regional requirements.
" Distil complex clinical data into clear promotional messages
" Work effectively within the organisation challenging brand strategies and Company processes where required
" Expert knowledge of the ABPI Code and relevant SOPs

RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS:
Works in collaboration with internal and external customers to deliver effective market access and clinical campaigns and drives business performance which encompasses both market access and demand.

Internal:
" Working with Local and Corporate Brand Team and Market Access Team to give input into decision making regarding strategic direction of brands
" Works cross-functionally to ensure excellence in brand planning and value proposition development and implementation
" Works across the regions in order to understand local needs and adapts the Market Access strategy accordingly.

External:
" Develops a strong network of key influencers and decision makers. Special focus on defined members of Grünenthal steering group
" Develops strong and effective partnerships with agencies
" Provides marketing access materials training for field teams

Person Profile

" Strategic thinker with ability to translate strategy into tactical plans
" Good knowledge of all marketing tools with particular experience of digital communications and Multi-Channel Marketing.
" Strong interpersonal skills - able to influence across departments and levels by persuasion
" Able to commission market access research in order to identify market requirements for current and future brands
" Strong communication and presentation skills
" Has prior experience of Market Access Marketing within a commercial Pharma industry role.
" Significant knowledge of NHS
" Able to attain detailed knowledge of Company products and therapy areas
" Able to implement market access programmes to a high standard
" Ensures all promotional material complies with the ABPI code of practice and have been approved in line with SOPs.
" Maintains compliance of all team members to ABPI guidelines through ensuring that each individual is aware of their responsibilities in this respect
" Full UK driving license
" Appropriate IT skills for spreadsheet manipulation, word, zinc, adobe and PowerPoint presentations
