FleishmanHillard have an opportunity for an experienced Account Director to join their innovative and award-winning Technology Practice. You'll be working with a lively team of passionate communications professionals who pride themselves on a real sense of teamwork, and that includes the client.

Their clients range from market leading global tech brands to UK and international SMEs who often require communications support in several markets. Some of their clients have been with them for five years and some only for six months, but all of them value the fact FH works as a trusted advisor and extension of their business and team.

ROLE OVERVIEW

This role is pivotal within the agency both in the UK and globally and primarily supports a portfolio of global brands, with a focus on an account-lead position on one of their flagship clients.

You will also play a proactive role in new business acquisition, growing and overseeing a portfolio of clients, and forming part of the senior management team of the Technology Practice Group in London.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Cementing client relationships as a trusted advisor, providing senior counsel, ensuring client accounts remain profitable
- Leading on strategic thinking globally and driving innovation across all communications platforms
- Leading media relations strategy and counsel across trade and national business media
- Proactively building relationships with the media, key opinion leaders, professional associations, online influencers and other relevant third-parties
- Spearheading new business efforts and driving organic growth by successfully converting new business or proposals into revenue
- Effectively planning team capacity and development, coaching and mentoring line reports

You will ideally have:

- Ability to write winning and creative proposals, programmes, plans and other strategic documentation
- Demonstrates first-class presentation skills with the ability influence at a senior level
- Skilled at mentoring and developing junior members of the team
- Proven track record of winning new business

Person Profile

- Proven experience of leading strategic comms programmes for IT & telecoms brands
- Strong media contacts across national business and technology trade media
- Experience negotiating client challenges and resolving to client/agency's satisfaction
- Ability to write winning and creative proposals, programmes, plans and other strategic documentation
- Demonstrates first-class presentation skills with the ability influence at a senior level
- Skilled at mentoring and developing junior members of the team
