Commercial Ops Manager

Title - Commercial Ops Manager

Location - Hertfordshire

The position is a dedicated resource in the Oncology CBL and will report directly to the Oncology Business Unit director. The Commercial Operations Manager will have a critical role in the "Oncology Cross Functional Team of Leaders" with primary responsibility for bi-directional communication and decision making with appropriate stakeholders in the Commercial Trade Channels directorate. The role will require close collaboration with the National Customer & Business Manager and Franchise Manager to implement the Oncology Business Unit Strategy and will work together with the European Business Operations Manager to provide regional insight and meet the requirements of the EuCan Regional & Global Oncology Customer Business Line (CBL) Management Teams

Key Activities

Accountable for the delivery of Oncology sales performance to meet or exceed target working to deliver the following responsibilities:
Dedicated Oncology BU liaison with Commercial Trade Channels Directorate to provide two-way communication and collaboration to inform, decide upon and execute the oncology strategy
Through liaison with global and regional stakeholders working with the UK Oncology Analyst, ensure the delivery of accurate in year, medium and long term sales and stock forecasts
Influence and shape the development of effective supply chain and service delivery resources working with colleagues in the commercial trade channels directorate to create competitive advantage and support the rapid and sustained uptake of pipeline oncology drug at launch
Execute plans to ensure product supply meets clinical demand across the UK market
Deliver robust customer insight to inform strategic decision making and effective lifecycle management decisions across the supply, delivery and administration of products within the Oncology CBL
Leadership and collaboration to create a cohesive, yet challenging cross functional team of leaders that empower individuals working across the operational team to make decisions and create value for patients, the NHS and MSD

Project/operational matrix leadership
Business analytics & forecasting
A working knowledge of the NHS and UK pharmaceutical supply chain
Experience from working in Oncology - Essential
Previous service delivery solutions experience is preferred
