Person Profile

NHS Specialist Nurse Band 6
NMC registered
Minimum 2 years Urology Nursing experience within the field of Urology or continence, or able to demonstrate evidence of equivalent knowledge and understanding
Specialist knowledge of working within SCI and MS disease areas
Knowledge of RCN/NICE guidelines & Essence of Care Benchmarks, MASCIP Bowel Management guidelines, NHS plan and experience of auditing
Ability to teach patients, colleagues and NHS staff both formally and informally

" Adhere to NMC/RCN guidelines for professional practice and Wellspect HealthCare internal policies.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Able to challenge and inspire others
Effective decision maker and problem solving ability
Ability to relate well to patients and relatives and other members of the teams
Ability to plan own workload and manage time effectively
Ability to use own initiative
Good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word and Excel
Good presentation skills
KPI for a band 6 nurse
To enhance service and referrals for Select where appropriate
