Brand or Senior Brand & Customer Manager - Anti-I

Role: Brand or Senior Brand & Customer Manager
Reports to: Head of Sales and Marketing - Anti-Infectives (Hospital Business Unit)
Location: Hoddesdon, Herts

We are now recruiting for a highly skilled, dynamic and driven Senior Brand & Customer Manager or Brand & Customer Manager to lead the UK marketing effort for CANCIDAS in the Intensive Care/ Microbiology and solid organ transplant segments and to initiate the market development and access planning for future anti-infectives products.
The MSD acute care anti-infectives franchise in the UK is valued at almost £45million MAT and has an exciting future product pipeline.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and Implement Franchise marketing strategy:
* Work with Head of Sales and Marketing to develop UK marketing strategy and implementation plan for CANCIDAS in Intensive Care/Microbiology and Solid Organ Transplant segments including adapting global and regional plans to UK customer needs.
* Deliver marketing plan for key hospital customers and NHS Specialist Commissioners/ payors.
*Work with the new products team to understand and shape the market and environment to ensure optimal access for future anti-infective products

Develop and implement promotional materials and educational programmes
* Understand market and customer base to help identify key customer needs.
* Collaborate and work closely with support functions to customise global and regional materials to be appropriate to UK market.
* Work with Brand promotions and multi channel communications to develop as appropriate promotional materials and educational programmes

Internal relationships
* Work closely with Anti -Infective sales team and national market access leads to understand customer base
* Brief sales force and other internal parties on promotional strategy and associated materials.
* Lead CANCIDAS in ICU/Microbiology and SOT as part of the Anti-Infective marketing team to ensure efficient integration and collaboration across key functions contributing to the Brands.
*Ensure all projects are in line with over arching MSD Anti-Infectives Franchise vision and support the goals of other products in the franchise where applicable

Customer relationships
* Build and maintain relationships with Key Scientific Leaders acting as an expert in the area.
* Maintain thorough understanding of customer perspective and develop solutions which best meet customer needs and help improve patient outcomes.

Business operations
* Liaise and collaborate with various UK functions, including Sales force, Customer Insight and Analytics, Business Services, Outcomes Research, Market Access and Commercial Operations, Medical and Scientific Affairs, Finance, Regulatory Affairs and Manufacturing to ensure optimal alignment and effective implementation of business plans.
* Support regional business opportunities through appropriate marketing development
* Day-to-day management of promotional budget to optimise effectiveness and efficiency in line with Merck compliance standards.
* Development of annual profit plan and long range operating plan for CANCIDAS
* Conduct all activities in compliance with company policies and standards, and with the PMCPA Code of Practice and MHRA guidance.
*Pro-actively liaise and collaborate with global and regional colleages

Person Profile

Education and Skills Required:
University Degree or equivalent qualification/Experience

Minimum Experience Required:
Marketing in the pharmaceutical industry for secondary care/specialist customers
Field Sales experience

Skills/Knowledge Required
Track record of success
Excellent project management and organisational skills, with evidence of delivery.
Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and confidence
Evidence of effective cross functional teamwork and collaboration with the ability to work in a group and as an individual
Experience in developing brand plans and have an understanding of the brand planning process
Experience in sales force motivation and engagement
Experience in developing customer relationships
Robust understanding of the NHS and have the ability to translate into partnership opportunities
Understanding and experience with internal SOP's and the certification process of promotional material
Ethics and integrity
