Assistant / Product Manager
TITLE: Senior Product Manager or Product Manager
LOCATION: Hurley (Oxon)
DIVISON: Dermatology Division
REPORTS TO: Head of Patient Solutions - Psoriasis
Overall objective: To be responsible for the strategy and marketing of a product (or products) to ensure that strategic and tactical plans are fully exploited within given resources.

" In discussion with other members of the team, propose the business objectives for the product, realistic sales forecasts and be aware of the budgetary constraints internally and NHS constraints externally.
" Plan, organise and implement product strategy with Sales and Marketing Management to ensure that sales forecast is achieved.
" Ensure familiarity with market research information. Enlist help of market research personnel. Have an in-depth knowledge of the therapeutic area and the market in general using information gathered from a variety of sources.
" Manage Advertising Agencies and AV Agencies to ensure that promotional literature and AV material is relevant and within statutory controls.
" Attend sales conferences and ensure that the Sales Force is fully aware of the product portfolio strategy and promotional message by presentations and meetings with them.
" Be aware of product sales and other promotional warehouse processes.
" Prepare an annual budget for the product range for which you have responsibility.
" Ensure that all activities undertaken are kept within budgetary limits.
" Attend group marketing meetings in Denmark or other countries as required.
" Liaise with Medical Consultants, GPs and Nurses within the therapeutic area to keep abreast of current opinion leaders.
" Facilitate two-way communication with Sales Force Management and Sales Force to ensure understanding of the promotional mix and buy-in to the calibre and effect of promotional campaigns.
" Liaise with Advertising, PR and AV companies to ensure timely and accurate delivery of promotional and advertising material.
" Ensure that product knowledge is current by keeping abreast of all developments within the therapeutic area.
" Ensure that professional development is maintained.
" Ensure that personal development is maintained by on the job training and relevant external courses or qualifications as determined with your line manager.
" Ensure that IT skills are maintained and be familiar with all software/information systems available within the Sales/Marketing and Market Research Departments.
" Mentor and coach product managers and other members of the marketing department.

Demonstrable success as a Sales Representative in Pharma
Proven experience as a Product Manager.
2 stage process. First stage interview with the first line manager for the role. The second stage is usually at Head Office and involves a panel interview and presentation.
