Our Client currently have a vacancy for a Workshop Engineer in the Product Inspection Service Division. This is a new position reporting to the PI Service Manager.

The ideal applicant will be responsible for providing efficient and effective service support for a range of products and their associated peripherals and accessories within the Product Inspection Division by means of telephone an e-mail working from our Leicester office workshop. Key objectives for this role are:

Provide technical support and advice to customers through e-mail and telephone communication.
Provide technical support and advise to field based engineers through e-mail and telephone communication.
To be a central point of contact for field based engineers and SBU's.
Provide assistance and advice to the Service Admin team regards engineer's deployment in order to assure FTF is met.
Liaise with field based engineers in order to record and document all Installation and Warranty work activities.
Carry out workshop diagnosis and repairs to customers equipment.
Despatch and effectively track outsourced repairs.
Source, assemble and test customer upgrade kits.
Promoting audits/calibration/validation activity for the PI Division product range
Achieve contribution towards service income targets & other departmental targets
Collaborate with sales team on upcoming installations.
Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with MT current Quality Procedures.
Provide first line technical help desk support to customers, admin teams and other sales/service team colleagues.



Job Package

£23 - £25,000 per annum

39 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Overtime at time & a third Monday - Friday, time and a half Saturday, double time Sunday.

22 days holiday + 8 days statutory hols
23 days after 3 years
25 days after 7 years
27 days after 10 years
Holiday year runs from 1st Jan to 31st Dec

Person Profile

Must have an HNC (or equivalent) in Electronics. Experience of Checkweighers, X-Ray or Metal Detection equipment is beneficial, knowledge of PC based systems and networking would be a distinct advantage. We are seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated applicants with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to ensure all objectives are met with a timely and satisfactory completion is essential. You should also be PC literate with knowledge of MS office and possess a full, clean driving licence.
