TITLE: Business Unit Manager - Dublin
THERAPY AREAS: Psychiatry & Diabetes
LOCATION: Dublin, Ireland
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Unit Manager to join our Leadership team in Dublin, Ireland. In this post you will be responsible for the commercial success of two critical and exciting Business Units - Psychiatry and Diabetes. This post will require leadership of commercial teams covering sales and marketing for both franchises. You will have 1st line management responsibility for 2 Product Managers and 2 Sales Managers as well as 2nd line management responsibility for the field based Account Management teams.
Role Purpose:
-Alignment of plans & people within the Business Unit, including key business partners, behind the achievement of financial targets (sales & spend) in order to achieve long term stability and drive company growth.
-Effective lifecycle management of current & future brands within the Business Unit.
-Ensure Business Unit requirements are incorporated into company, EMEA & global strategies/tactics.
-Develop talent to create sustainable competitive advantage.
-Input into (& co-ordinate if appropriate) company-wide initiatives & programmes that seek to improve sales & marketing outputs/results/processes.
-Responsible for providing 'up-the-line' communications to Local/UK/EMEA management on significant brand/market drivers/barriers to growth relating to strategic/core brands in Business Unit.
-Regularly coach/mentor all direct reports to develop effective Performance Management.
-Lead role in liaison with Medical Affairs to respond to IPHA Code/IMB/Customer complaints.

Person Profile
Desired Skills & Experience
-Educated to degree level or equivalent with a professional qualification in marketing strongly preferred.
-Previous experience in a people management role within the Healthcare Industry required.
-Extensive experience in Healthcare marketing required, with pharmaceutical experience preferred.
-Experience in Healthcare sales preferred
-Demonstrable commercial accumen and strategic thinking
-Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills -He/She will possess intellectual curiosity
-A deep understanding of a changing Irish healthcare landscape is required
-A sense of urgency and a desire to provide innovative solutions to our customers
