Sales Manager - Ireland
Ideally based near Dublin
PRODUCTS: supplier of diagnostic reagents and equipment to the health services of the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and France
CLIENTS: Healthcare Labs
PURPOSE OF POSITION: To effectively manage country sales in order to achieve sales targets in line with company directives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Sales Director in setting annual sales targets for the country.
- Continually monitor sales performance for the country and plan strategies to achieve targets
- Maintain personal involvement with all accounts and relationships with key personnel for these accounts.
- Continually improve company image and market share by exhibiting a high degree of creativity within the role.
- Review key accounts and top ten with Sales Director
- Attend monthly Sales management review meetings
- Submit to Sales Director on a monthly basis, competition activity and other information relevant to the company's business direction.
- Identify key or problem accounts requiring additional attention.
- Identify product opportunities and submit new proposals to the Sales Director
- Produce quotations for existing accounts and new business
- Identify new strategies to increase market share in all departments
- Identify tender opportunities and complete the pricing.
- Identify Managed service contract opportunities
- Monitor contract performance
- Manage the Irish promotion of new products
- Maintain clear and concise customer visit reports and account sales record details to allow rapid retrieval of information
- Attend exhibitions and meetings representing the company as required.
- Submit a detailed record of expenses incurred to the company as required.
- Ensure all company property is kept and maintained in good working order and clean, particularly in respect to company cars.

Person Profile
- Biomedical Science background
- Understanding of hospital laboratories
- Understanding of the diagnostics market
- NHS laboratory sales experience (Highly desirable)
- Enthusiasm, energy, drive and self motivation will be the keys to success in this position
