An exciting new opportunity has arisen in Janssen's HIV team for a Senior Product Manager.

HIV infection has been transformed from a fatal to a chronic life-long infection due to the introduction of effective antiretroviral therapy (ART) in the mid-1990s. Today, Janssen’s HIV product portfolio is used in over a quarter of all HIV patients treated in the UK. Along with our strong product portfolio Janssen is committed to investing in numerous initiatives to improve HIV patient care, resulting in Janssen’s position as the NHS’ preferred partner in the UK market.

Within this role you will be responsible for maximising the sales and profit of Edurant and Intelence by communicating a vision that inspires both internal and external customers. You will provide on-going market support in order to meet company targets and grow brand revenues, whilst driving all marketing initiatives specific to those brands.

Key Activities of the role:-

Produce tactical business plans:
- Commission market research through internal market research dept
- Analyse primary & secondary market research and business intelligence
- Use appropriate tools and cross functional inputs to produce situational analysis
- Use CRM tools to implement CRM strategy and capture and use market information
- Communicate issues with key stakeholders via verbal and written communication and business meetings
- Brainstorm solutions and tactics
- Define brand tactical objectives
- Produce critical success factors
- Build strategy in conjunction with senior managers
- Define key tactics to achieve success
- Determine targeting and segmentation strategies.
- Present tactical plan to MX marketing group
- Communicate Business Plan and Strategy plan / marketing updates to senior management both formally and informally

Job Package

Person Profile

-Educated to degree level or equivalent
-Significant experience in a marketing role within the pharmaceutical industry required
-Therapy area experience preferred but not essential
-Relevant higher level qualification strongly desired (e.g. professional Marketing qualification (CIM))
-Experience of managing P&L required
-Experience of managing budgets and associated finance systems required
-Strong strategic mindset with the ability to lead the business planning process (short term) as well as the strategic planning process (long term)
-Excellent communicator, with the ability to translate the vision into direction
-Strong leader with the ability to motivate a cross functional team towards the delivery of the strategy, being proactive in minimizing the impact of changes in the cross functional structure when those changes could put at risk the commercial commitments for the brand
-Proven success in aligning teams in matrix organisations
-Interpersonal skills to be able to motivate junior staff and challenge a management board
-He/she should be an active member of the marketing regional network (G7 markets)
-Capable to build good working relationships with expanded group of stakeholders (patient associations, KOLs, etc)
