Healthcare Functional Lead - RA
LOCATION: Welwyn Garden City
THERAPY AREA: Rheumatology
We are currently seeking a strong and influential individual who can bring the following ideal combination of skills and experience to an exciting market access role: familiarity with the specialist Rheumatology arena, senior healthcare expertise, office based marketing or programme management. These attributes will provide the capability to successfully drive and lead healthcare strategy at a national level for our Rheumatology franchise across Roche UK.
This role will be pivotal in ensuring the success of key strategic brands including the launch of a new formulation.
As well as this national outlook which will require the ability to develop solid relationships with Brand Team Leaders and the field management team, the individual will also work closely with other members of the Healthcare Strategy department, Health Economics and Strategic Pricing, Public Affairs and National Business Leaders to champion sufficient focus, national and regional strategies and delivery.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Leading national healthcare strategy for nominated brand/indications or franchise groupings
Ensuring the delivery and implementation of agreed brand healthcare strategy across multifunctional Roche head office and field based teams
Providing healthcare functional expertise and guidance to Brand Team Leaders
Working with Regional Business Leaders, HDM managers and Healthcare Strategy to ensure tailored offerings
The role is part of the Healthcare Strategy Department which sits in the Communications and Healthcare Strategy Directorate. The department is made up of over 20 experts who work alongside the Roche Business Units and at a cross portfolio level. We identify shape and influence how Roche responds to commercial opportunities in a changing UK health environment with the ultimate vision of enabling every eligible patient to have access to Roche medicines.

• Senior healthcare experience - proven experience in shaping opportunities in the environment to deliver access and uptake of medicine)
• Experience of identifying, combining and translating complex environmental and business drivers into clear and coherent national, regional and local strategies
• Advanced knowledge of the NHS systems and process (funding flows, performance metrics)
• Field or other substantial healthcare experience
• Understanding of the HDM tools required in Market Access
• Experience of ensuring code compliance in market access roles
• Marketing or office based programme management experience
• Evidence of success at a senior level working within a matrix management environment
• Rheumatology background
• Advanced networking and influencing skills
• Accomplished at selling, presenting, negotiating and team work
